    Questions about contractor lists

    Many trades have no website. Do I still get contacts?

    Yes. The phone number comes from the business’s public profile, so almost every contractor is callable. When a website exists, LeadsIt reads it for emails and social pages. Contractors without a website are also strong prospects for web and marketing services.

    Can I cover a whole region, not just one city?

    Yes. A region search covers its largest cities at once for 13 credits, and removes businesses that appear in several of them.

    Can I search a specific trade?

    Yes. Search the way you would on a map: “emergency plumber”, “roofing contractor”, “HVAC”, “kitchen fitter”, one trade at a time.

    How current are the phone numbers?

    They come from the business’s public profile at the moment you search. Owners keep that number up to date because it is how their customers reach them.

    Is it legal to contact contractors?

    Calling a business about a business offer is generally outside consumer do-not-call rules, but rules vary by country and state. In the US, CAN-SPAM allows business email if you identify yourself, include your postal address and honor opt-outs. In the UK, PECR lets you email companies without prior consent if you offer an easy opt-out (sole traders need consent). In Canada, CASL allows it when the business publishes its address and your message relates to its work. LeadsIt only collects public business data.
